Text Box: Our church provides worship, fellowship, encouragement, a loving touch and a friendly face for the residents of Solomon’s Nursing Center every 4th Sunday of the month.  The residents especially enjoy having children there and we usually provide flowers to hand out.  We  meet at 2:30 pm in the activity room.  For questions, contact Bob Sheranko at 410.326-3131.

You are invited to a Singular Vision For Christ (SVFC) covered dish dinner and fellowship evening.  SVFC is an interdenominational Christian singles Bible study and fellowship group in Southern Maryland. For more information regarding SVFC, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SingularVision/  The event will be held at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Friday, 15 August 2008, starting at 6:00 PM.  This event is open to all Christian Singles, regardless of age.  You are welcome to bring your children.  For those who are all thumbs in the kitchen, store bought foods or beverages (non-alcoholic, of course!) will serve nicely.  We intend to have a short Bible study, time for fellowship, and other activities.  RSVPs are encouraged, but not required.  For further information, please contact Dale Sakahara, (H) 301-737-4243.
 
Directions:  From the intersection of Rte. 4 and Rte. 235 in California MD, follow Rte. 235 South.  Passing Wendy's and Applebee's restaurants on the right, turn left at the intersection onto Town Creek Drive (traffic signal at the intersection).  Continue for 0.6 miles, and the Church and Fellowship Hall (brick building) will be on the left.  From Lexington Park, drive north on Rte. 235, passing the intersection for Rte. 237, Chancellor's Run Road, and turn right at Town Creek Drive.

Do you ever wonder what happens to your shoeboxes after you turn them in?  You have the opportunity to be a part of a first time event within the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Hear first hand from Bill Klear, the OCC Regional Manager for South and East Asia, as he tells of the impact around the world of your shoe boxes through the a special Conference Call on Monday, July 28 at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm.  Bill will be sharing of the amazing Gospel opportunities that come as a result of shoe boxes.  In addition, he will share some exciting news and goals for the upcoming season!
